Evening Lecture :
|
The Chapter organizes evening lecture meetings regularly in which eminent speakers address the Members on topics relevant to the field of HR. Together with this the following lecture series are also conducted periodically.

a) Talks by senior members sharing their reminiscence of their professional career titled “Reminiscences of my career”.
b) ‘HR Feed back’, in which the expectations of CEO/COO on HR professionals are dealt with
and
c) Presentation of newly concluded Long Term Settlements of various companies

Workshops, Training Programmes :
|
The Chapter takes keen effort to host several workshops in an year, in which current topics in the HR/IR arena are brought to focus. In addition, the Chapter also organizes several training programmes, both for its members as well as for people from outside. In house training programmes are also conducted, wherein classes on several topics are handled by eminent trainers for employees in an organization. NIPM Kerala Chapter offers a wide range of In-house Programmes and also offer tailor made programmes for the industries to their choice.
Labour Law Update :
NIPM Kerala Chapter conducts on last Saturday of June every year, a one-day workshop entitled ‘Labour Law Update’. The workshop scans through the important legal pronouncements and amendments during the year in relation to various Labour Laws. The workshop is led by eminent labour law practioners Mr. H.A.C. Poppen, Adv. Pathros Matthai and Adv.S.S. Nair.
As the workshop provides golden opportunity for HR professionals to keep abreast of the latest judicial pronouncements on important labour law matters,it has been rated as the flagship programme of the chapter.
Kerala Personnel
This is the quarterly magazine published by Kerala Chapter. Besides articles related to HR from leading authors, it also includes the various activities of the chapter during the quarter concerned.
Every year besides the regular issues, an Annual Issue is also released, This is released during the occasion of the AGM.

HRD Update – Industrial Visit Programme : |
An activity entitled ‘HRD Update” is organized by NIPM Kerala chapter every year. Under this programme, a one-day visit is organized to two organisations, to learn their HR practices. The programme schedule include visit to the
establishment / factory, presentation by the HR people on their HR practices and interaction with the top management.

Interaction with Management/ Educational Institutions : |
a) The Kerala chapter of NIPM interaction with Academic Institutions with the belief that the most competent individuals of tomorrow are going to be moulded in educational institutions. NIPM Kerala chapter organises workshop, lectures etc for teachers and students on various topics.
b) The Student Members of NIPM-Kerala chapter at School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kalamassery formed an HR Club in their School, with the blessings of NIPM Kerala Chapter, to update and enrich themselves in various aspects of HR Management.
c) NIPM Kerala Chapter regularlyconducts LectureMeetings/ Workshops/ Seminars in various Management Schools like Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery and School of Communications & Management Studies, Kalamassery for the benefit of Management students.

Quiz Programme : |
Perquizites- Management Quiz
NIPM Kerala Chapter conducts a programme entitled “Perquizites-Management Quiz ”, for students pursuing Management studies in various management Institutes in Kerala every year. M/s.Binani Industries Ltd, has sponsored the Ghanshyam Binani Ever-rolling trophy to be given to the winners.

NIPM – Family Forum :
|
In order to involve the families of our Members in the various activities of the Chapter, a family forum has been constituted under the Chapter with Ms.Surekha Zachariah as Co-ordiantor and Mrs.Sheela Raveendranath as Jt.Co-ordinator.
The Forum undertakes activities for the spouses and children of our Members like Lecture programmes, Development programmes, Picnic, Get-togethers and Cultural programmes.
NIPM Family Forum has evolved a scheme for recognizing the academic achievements of individual members’ children every year through an ‘endowment fund’. The fund is being mobilized by the contributions of members and interest accrued from the fund will be utilised for meeting the expenses of the recognition. On the AGM day, all individual members’ children who have secured 80 % or more marks in 10th standard examinations under
SSLC/CBSE/ICSE streams will be given recognition. Under each stream, first and second topper in the examinations will be given special recognition and all others will be given merit recognition.

Zachariah
Memorial Award : |
Every year the topper in the
M.A. (P.M.) examination conducted by M.G. University, is presented
the Zachariah Memorial Cash Award of Rs. 1001/- and Certificate during the
occasion of the AGM. The Award has been instituted in memory
of Late Sri.K.Zachariah past chairman of the chapter and Fellow
of the Institute.

KRC Nayar Memorial Award : |
Every year the second rank
holder in the MHRM examination conducted by M.G. University,
is presented the KRC Nayar Memorial Cash Award of Rs. 750/-
and Certificate during the occasion of the AGM. The Award
has been instituted in memory of Late Sri.KRC Nayar, past
chairman of the chapter and Fellow of the Institute.
