National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) is one of the premier all India bodies of professional managers engaged in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare and HRD.
It is a non-profit body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960, devoted to developing the skill and expertise of professionals engaged in managing human resources through lecture meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences and publications across its chapters.
The Late P.V. Kurian, the proud son of Kerala, was the first National President of NIPM and the first Chief of Personnel of EASUN Group.

Origin
Formed through a historic professional merger
Indian Institute of Personnel Management (IIPM) founded at Calcutta, now Kolkata.
National Institute of Labour Management (NILM) established in Bombay, now Mumbai.
NIPM established after the merger of IIPM and NILM.

Today, NIPM has nationwide membership with over 12,000 individual members and more than 250 institutional members spread across 52 chapters. Its headquarters is situated at Kolkata.
