Corporate

For admission to corporate membership, an individual should possess the required qualification and have at least three years' practical experience in personnel management, industrial relations or labour welfare if holding a degree or diploma in any of these streams, or at least five years' practical experience with a degree or equivalent in another stream.

The applicant should be holding a managerial, administrative or staff training position dealing mainly with personnel management, industrial relations or labour welfare; or be working as adviser/consultant to an industrial, commercial or employers' organisation; or be a full-time teacher in these subjects in a recognised educational institution.

Life

Any individual who is eligible to become a Corporate Member, or who is already a Corporate Member, may become a Life Member by making the applicable one-time payment.

Student

An individual undergoing a recognised degree or diploma course in personnel management, industrial relations or labour welfare may be admitted to Student Membership.

Institutional

Central or State Government, local self government bodies, departments, statutory bodies, corporations, organisations, institutions or associations which subscribe to and are interested in furtherance of the objectives of the Institute are eligible for Institutional Membership.
